Review on ๐Ÿถ IIT 99918 Coiled Tie Out Cable - 16 Feet: Secure and Reliable Pet Restraint Solution by Jennifer Kiel

Revainrating 2 out of 5

UPDATE: I threw it in the trash and bought a regular cable.

Thin to the touch; However, it held up better than any coiled cord I've had. The outer rubber screen is very durable. UPDATE: I have a 75 pound German Shepherd Husky mix and the cable has held it up well; However, the rubber coating and the cable itself started to wear out after about 3-4 months from rubbing against the edge of our deck. To be honest, I recommend a regular cable without a coil. The coil acts like a spring, pulling on your dog's neck when he's 6 feet or more from the connection point. I've also found that my dog is more likely to get tangled in twisted-pair cords than regular cords. Again, the coiling of the spring makes it difficult/impossible for the dog to disengage. When my GSD got tangled the force of the spool increased and prevented it from moving which was obviously dangerous, it barked and cried when it happened (I must have disentangled it 50+ times in 3-4 months of use) .
