Good Leash - Ties and Pegs

This is just what I need for my dog to walk. I have a cart that drives between two trees for my dog. I wanted to lengthen the wire that connects to it to give it more room to roam without getting stuck. I originally connected a coil to her and another wire which resulted in her having much more freedom of movement, but the coil continued to wrap around her legs. I was very afraid that she would hurt herself, so I swapped the electrodes. I connected the coil's lead to a wire and another wireโ€ฆ

Great product for a dog cart!

2 year update: Still working with no issues! Initially we had a 10 foot cord connected to a cart that was constantly wrapped around a dog or things in the yard. This spiral leash allows our dog to run around without getting tangled in anything as the spiral leash never drags on the ground. We had several people who admired him. Thanks for a great product! Please note not for people with OCD. Sometimes it's a bit like old-fashioned twisted-pair phone cords when our dog pulls them straight outโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Great as a recoil cable!

I attached one end to our stake in the ground and the other end to our 25 foot straight line. So it works great. I would not recommend using it as a standalone tether for all of the previously listed reasons from other users. Due to the tension on the cord from the reels, it will most likely wrap around your dog's legs, but just keep an eye on it and it's usually fine. a collie puppy to lengthen the coiled cable so it slows down and doesn't snag like it would on a straight cable. He would runโ€ฆ

UPDATE: I threw it in the trash and bought a regular cable.

Thin to the touch; However, it held up better than any coiled cord I've had. The outer rubber screen is very durable. UPDATE: I have a 75 pound German Shepherd Husky mix and the cable has held it up well; However, the rubber coating and the cable itself started to wear out after about 3-4 months from rubbing against the edge of our deck. To be honest, I recommend a regular cable without a coil. The coil acts like a spring, pulling on your dog's neck when he's 6 feet or more from the connectionโ€ฆ

A ten-year solution for a trolleybus catenary!

Second purchase of these 2 complete lines to increase the range of the dog blanket trolley. I have 2 large dogs +/-50# and I use 2 of them for each line (now 3 in the same line), just as a backup. No signs of wear or signs of wear after 2+ years. The coil is still strong (although it lengthens out of the box) and the armature crimps are not out of phase. There is not the slightest sign of wear on the plastic cover, so the cable underneath is stronger than ever. The only thing that is worn isโ€ฆ

Very good value for money

I have a 60-70 lb Pitbull/Beagle mix. He is very strong and really trains the cable. I've used this to strap my dog to a 100ft runner with a pulley and it does the job perfectly. I've read some reviews where dog owners have complained that the coils are too tight for their small dogs, making it difficult for them to stretch the cord. While this is no longer a problem with my dog, I used it on him when he was smaller and I understand that others are telling the truth. I found a simple way toโ€ฆ
