I purchased this remote with the 477T based on reports that it will work with the Hornet 554T system. When I received both remotes, the 474T box did not say it could be used with the 554T system. After further research, I found that any replacement remotes with green activity light and 2^66 codes should work. I have tried using the instructions on the back of the box which state programming on channel 1 to program the remote into the system. This put the remote in one-button mode only, so locking and unlocking was done with the same button. None of the other buttons did anything. When I found the 554T installation guide on the Directed website, I found that the correct channel for auto-learning all keys is channel 8. So if you choose this channel, simply check the installation guide for your alarm model to confirm the correct channel choice. . Channel to use when programming the remote control.
