This charger combined with a quality cable charges my Nexus 5x in a very short time (1-1.5 hours from zero). This thing looks solid and well made and fits snugly in the outlet and extension cords I plugged it into. It sticks well to the USB cable. Half the charger is a wall charger and the other half is a quality cable that can handle bandwidth. Monoprice also makes some quality cables that aren't too expensive and you should pair them with a new charger.
