Incredible cooling performance

This unit works great and reduces the temperature drastically. I installed the 360mm version on my media server this morning and then ran the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool to see how it worked. SERVER INFO: Intel i7 4790k processor ASRock Z97 Extreme 6 board, 16GB Ripjaws PC3 12800 RAM, Corsair RM850X power supply, MSI GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card, 10 hard drives (9 internal and 1 external), Pioneer BDR-209DBK Blu. -ray driveThermal take Water 3.0 Triple Riing RGB 360 Water Cooler PERFORMANCE: --- IPDT64 - Temperature Monitoring Results --- Temperature Test ---.Version 1.0.12.64bW57 degrees C below Maximum Test Result - PASSExpected More than 1 degree below MaxReceived 57 degrees below Max. This result is amazing and I can't tell you how happy I am with it. The cooler was purchased for my media server which will be used to transcode 1080p videos. Before adding this cooler I was able to get over 200F when transcoding multiple threads with a NOT overclocked CPU. This was unacceptable, so I looked for a better solution. With this cooler, my max readings (on one core only) were 170F while transcoding multiple threads AND overclocking the CPU to 4.7GHz. I stress tested a server with an overclocked CPU all day and the temperature never went above 176F. . This result was tied to the maximum with all processor cores. INSTALLATION: The installation is not very difficult but will take some time. You must remove the fans from the top of the case to prepare for installation. The cooler comes without a fan, so you can push or pull air through it. You need to attach the fans to the heatsink. In this case, I would recommend mounting the heatsink to the case before connecting the pump to your CPU. Attaching your pump to your processor is super easy as it comes with smart mounts that can be configured to fit almost anything. They attach the backplate to the back of the motherboard; it is attached with tape. You need to select the appropriate ring for Intel or AMD and then follow the instructions to adjust the width of the screw holes. Select the thumbscrews appropriate for your processor and insert them into the holes on the socket ring. After installing the processor connector ring, remove the protective cap from the pump and carefully install it onto the connector ring. Then slide the locking ring over it to lock it. The pump comes with thermal grease already properly applied to the face, so you can now reattach the pump by inserting the screws into the screw holes on the back and screwing the pump securely in place. Simply plug the pump into the CPU fan header, plug the light/fan controller into the other CPU fan header on the board, and then plug the fans into the controller. my time. You should be able to do it around the same time if you're careful. faster if you are in a hurry. :) I can't recommend this cooler enough. FIVE STARS
