Review on πŸ’¨ Dyson AM06 Air Multiplier Table Fan, 10 Inches - Black/Nickel: Efficient and Stylish Cooling Solution by Kathy Jones

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I don't think it's worth the price.

I bought this product out of curiosity because of the good review and the interesting design. I was amazed that something that blows air on you can cost $300 so I decided to give it a try. Typically such expensive products are well designed inside and out, and you can feel the durability of something as simple as the material they're made of. Which brings me to #1, it's all plastic, nothing special. This is all done with a fan at the bottom that blows air into the ring and redirects it. Then the question is what makes it so expensive? Additional functions? Not really, as other fans have remote control, timed rotation, and variable power settings. Ok, is it silence? Not really, it gets decently loud above level 4 (out of 10). Mechanical engineering? The remote works about 60% of the button presses. The power button on the main unit works 20% of the time. Marketing? Definitive. I'm not a fan of this because it's just too expensive to pay for something so simple. Other fans have even more features, such as vertical rotation and horizontal rotation, for less than a quarter of the price. Save money and try something else if you really don't care about design.
