Although this is a cheap DVD player that sometimes makes noise when loading, I've used it many times for several years without any problems other than the sound. He rarely makes any noise and I haven't had any other problems with him. If you just want a basic DVD player, I think that's fine. Nothing special, but what do you expect? You get what you pay for.
