This lamp works, ie it dries your gel. But it lets in too much light - it's bad for the eyes. And I didn't know it didn't have a "bottom" - it seems a little scary with kids running around. UV is no joke, it's actually dangerous. The gel is too thin and difficult to work with, especially if you are a beginner. An extra layer of top gel fixed the uneven surface (first picture vs. second), but it's very difficult to get a nice even line on the cuticle. If you're thinking of buying your first set, you might find another.
