Review on American Metalcraft 14X15 Wood Pizza Peel - 8-Inch Handle, Brown by Justin Ewing

I don't understand all the reviews saying this is a bamboo paddle. It does not look or smell like bamboo. According to my woodworking husband the paddle i received is birch. It is a well made pizza peel. I got the large one and at first I thought the handle being short was going to be a problem. The picture is misleading and the handle is not that long. However, the handle is long enough without getting burned. If you wanted to use this peel to remove the baked pizza you will need to lift the crust up to get the paddle underneath. The pizza peel is perfect for getting pizzas in the oven easily. Lightly flour the entire wood peel and place dough on top. I purchased this because the dough sticks to my metal one. I really believe that if you make homemade pizzas you need a wooden peel to slide the dough in the oven and a metal one to remove the finished pizza.I definitely recommend this if you would like to get pizzas in the oven without the dough sticking to the peel. It is well made, no odor, and I am greatly pleased. I have used it three times already and I just purchased. I couldn't be happier that my dough no longer sticks to the peel.
