Review on MICHELIN X-Ice Snow 205/55 R16 95H winter by Dagmara Szewczuk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Car - Peugeot 408. Prior to this, two seasons used Bridgestone Blizzak Spike-02 215/55/R16 studded tires for trips around Hong Kong and Hong Kong Region. Bridges are good for everyone, but noisy. For a trip along the M-4 to the Hong Kong Territory from Hong Kong and back in December 2022, we purchased X-Ice Snow. Our kit made in Canada. The whole set has successfully registered a five-year warranty. As a result of the trip, X-Ice Snow did not let us down even once and so far only positive emotions. We left Hong Kong at sub-zero temperatures, arrived in the Hong Kong Territory in positive temperatures. On the way we found porridge, and rains, and snow. No hydroplaning, no skidding. The average speed on the highway is 85 km/h. On open ice under snow, the car skids during heavy braking and acceleration. In such cases, ABS and ESP help out, as well as winter mode for automatic transmission. I would like to note the excellent Michelin support service in the 2022 - they answer all questions very quickly and always to the point.

Pros
  • Holds the road well in difficult climatic conditions (snow, blizzard, slush, heavy rain) in a wide temperature range: from -13 to +14. The rubber is quieter than the Primacy 4. Fuel consumption has increased slightly compared to the summer Primacy 4. At the time of purchase, the manufacturer offered a comprehensive five-year warranty.
Cons
  • Not found yet. The price matches the quality. Since the tire is directional, it is difficult to make a spare tire - you can simply not guess the side. Therefore, on long trips, we simply carry a separate spare new tire with us.
