4.5 stars rounded up to 5. Would have been 5 but the little plastic stake holders for the hooks are just not long enough or sturdy enough. The lights are great though. I bought these last April (2018) to put beside my front steps, just to get enough light to not stub my toe on the bottom step when I come in after dark. They are just right for that. One lantern still works but one died. That’s my fault though—we had this little storm called Hurricane Michael come through and I forgot to bring them inside! It was only Category 1 when it got here, but my little lantern blew off his stake and was never to light again. I’m ordering more this year. Maybe I’ll do better in taking care of them. The other lantern is still charging and still going almost the entire night if the charging daylight is reasonable. Pretty good for the price!Update as of May 1, 2019: Got my new set, and put one out by the front steps on my empty hook (reference Hurricane Michael above!). Came home last night after dark, and there is no discernible difference in brightness between new lantern and year-old lantern. Very pleased and much surprised by quality for price. However, buyer beware! There are TWO ordering choices! One is for two HANGING lanterns. One is for ONE hanging and ONE staked lantern. Be sure the correct choice is highlighted when placing your order. I almost got the one of each set, which would not have been a problem for me.
