Review on Enhanced Performance 92250 1/4-HP Thermoplastic πŸ’§ Submersible Sump Pump with Tethered Float Switch by Justin Early

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Powerful and stable

Replaced the old pump with this one. I use it to drain a waterfall/pond for the winter. There is a lot of mud here - leaves, weeds and acorns. This pump is 1/2 HP. swim because I wanted to suck in the water as deep as possible. I placed the pump in a small hole so that when the water dropped to about 1 inch in the hole, the rest of the pond was dry. Also, the float is not connected to the pump. Rather, it has its own cord and plug, and the pump's power cord plugs into the back of the float fork. That means you're fumbling with two cords and a drain hose, which is way too much for a portable pump. Maybe it's normal for the drain pump. Eventually the float will shut off the pump at about 4 inches of water, although you can adjust this if you're smart. In any case, the thing pumps so fast that I can only watch it for 20 minutes and then switch it off. Also, my old pump kept tipping over because of the pressure hose, this one has an extended foot, which makes it very durable.
