Float switch does not switch off, water is stuck in the hose

Dear seller! Please contact me. I just received the drain pump a few days ago. After I bought a 25ft hose from Home Depot. I thought my rainwater problem in my empty pool was solved with your sump pump. No not at all. Here are the symptoms. 1. I thought that the float switch should turn off the pump when the water goes to the bottom of the pool. No, that is not so. 2. Your claim: The water will rise up to 25 feet vertically. My pool is only 12 feet high. But when I connected the fender the…

Highly recommended after more than 3 years of use.

I am writing this review after buying this pump 3 years ago. This pump is TOP! in daily use for more than 3 years. I use it to pump water out of a sump between a retaining wall and my above ground pool. When I bought it I wasn't sure if it would last long, but it's better than I ever expected. All the screws are stainless steel, I only pulled it out to clean the filter screen, removed the screws and everything still works perfectly. If you get a non-return valve in addition to this pump, this…

Great cheap pump but make sure you know what you are getting

Love this little pump I have several houses that are over 100 years old and the basements get wet from heavy rain. You really need to install a sump and not use expensive fraudulent caulking systems as they will be 100% leaking in a few years. These pumps do an excellent job but be aware that in a few years they will fail as the internal components are of average quality, the seals will leak and the motor will burn out. Whilst I love and use them in my nearby homes which are easy to maintain…

Powerful and stable

Replaced the old pump with this one. I use it to drain a waterfall/pond for the winter. There is a lot of mud here - leaves, weeds and acorns. This pump is 1/2 HP. swim because I wanted to suck in the water as deep as possible. I placed the pump in a small hole so that when the water dropped to about 1 inch in the hole, the rest of the pond was dry. Also, the float is not connected to the pump. Rather, it has its own cord and plug, and the pump's power cord plugs into the back of the float…

Worth a try vs. constantly failing Zoeller

Everyone in the submersible pump business will tell you to get a Zoeller. I have three. I understand cast iron helps cool the pump, but rust is too much for me. What I really dislike about my Zoellers is the shifter assembly and derailleur in the derailleur housing. These parts sometimes wear out as quickly as during a rainy season. It also means the pump may not turn on when needed. What's next, you know. Of course you can have your pump checked once a year. If it works, that doesn't mean it…
