Love this little pump I have several houses that are over 100 years old and the basements get wet from heavy rain. You really need to install a sump and not use expensive fraudulent caulking systems as they will be 100% leaking in a few years. These pumps do an excellent job but be aware that in a few years they will fail as the internal components are of average quality, the seals will leak and the motor will burn out. Buy what makes sense for your circumstances rather than skimp on something that might cause more headaches later.
