I'm only giving it 4 stars because my daughter has slim legs so there's a little more room at the top. I'll wear socks over her tights to make them fit her better. Although I'm sure the strap will keep her legs from falling out. I was surprised that the straps are actually velcro and the buckle is just an illusion. The rounded toe is nice because it doesn't pinch your toes. These shoes are the same as in the picture. Very shiny and she loves them. They would be perfect for her spring photos at school.
