Review on Sharpening Whetstone Polishing Oilstone 50X20X10Mm by Paul Gravely

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comes with Oil on Stone

This product is sized from an average human knuckle to the first knuckle of the middle finger to give you an idea of sizing before purchase. This is not a bench stone, you will not move a knife to a stone, you will move a stone to a knife. This allows him wild versatility. There are some blades that you cannot sharpen with practice. Graininess appears to be a little less than the 10,000 listed, but it's more than enough for a specular shine. This type of stone is said to be abrasion and wear resistant, but I haven't used it often enough to say for sure. The only thing I would change is not to oil the stone before buying it to make it easier to use with water. You can remove most of the oil with hot water and dish soap, but it will stay for a while. I would buy again and recommend to anyone who needs a little stone to sharpen the blade of their favorite knife while out in the field.
