The handles are made of slippery plastic and the clips flex before they're tight enough against the wood to not move. I don't expect it to move at all, but it shouldn't move when pressed lightly with a finger. The metal on the clips is only very weak, allowing the lever to either bend or let go of the inconsistent teeth that grab the next click. I say inconsistent because some teeth are more tangible than others. Actually just a cheap production for a profitable product, but the end user feels the lack of quality.
