It just doesn't work. Tries to open an ordinary can of beets. It was difficult to insert the jar into the opener. There is a metal tab trying to push the can out at an odd angle. I finally managed to get the opener to hook the can and the blade pierced it first. But as soon as I turned the wheel, the blade came out of the cut on its own and just started pushing the lid a little further into the jar, all the way around the jar. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get a stable cut around the entire perimeter. Many of the photos on the Revain site are upside down. It's as if for years this thing was sold purely for its reputation to people who fondly remember wall-mounted can openers that actually worked. i have a restaurant It couldn't even open a regular can, let alone one of the larger cans I was hoping it would work with. Big mistake.
