Works right every time!

So tired of can openers getting lost and partially opening a can. It works like a snap and even lifts the neckline which can be locked with a magnet. I like it and so does the husband with arthritis in his hands. Hooray@

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Long wait

Ideal for corkscrews and bottle openers

The part of the magnet that is supposed to stick to the lid doesn't work that well. He reaches for it, but doesn't yank it away from the can. Also if you "snap" it in place, it's very wobbly and not strong. The blade is nice and sharp, but that might be because I haven't changed my old one in years.

  • Few competitors

Off Grid Homestead Delight

After using the manual can opener for decades, we've finally upgraded it. Since we often manage without electricity, we needed a can opener with a handle. It was an easy choice (as my partner grew up with the type) and we are happy with this brand with the high performance option. It takes several times to learn how to use it properly, but after a month it will be easy.

  • Complete Set

Doesn't work at all

It just doesn't work. Tries to open an ordinary can of beets. It was difficult to insert the jar into the opener. There is a metal tab trying to push the can out at an odd angle. I finally managed to get the opener to hook the can and the blade pierced it first. But as soon as I turned the wheel, the blade came out of the cut on its own and just started pushing the lid a little further into the jar, all the way around the jar. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get a stable cut around the…

This newly designed model is very stiff and awkward to use!

They ALWAYS only had openers from this brand. My very old one was worn out so I replaced it with this one. This is my 3rd in my whole life. That's how good they were. Works just as well but very frustrated that every moving part is very stiff and difficult to manoeuvre! I'm older and have arthritis so I'm really unhappy with it. It feels like it's a lot cheaper to build!

My Favorite Can Opener

I've had these can openers my whole life. They are easy to use and last about 20-25 years on me. They require no drawer or countertop space, batteries or electricity and are very easy to turn, even for a person with moderate arthritis. The only thing that always fails with my grandma, my mother or me is that the blade eventually becomes blunt. If you have a chore to do and feel comfortable sharpening a small cutting blade, then this may be the last kitchen can opener you need to buy. It must be
