I have had other embossing pens in the past and they worked very well. I don't know if it's the pen or my technique, but I've never had this problem to this extent. Embossing powder does not adhere well. I put it on, shook off the excess and put it back on because it didn't look like it would wear much the first time. When I used the thermal embosser, the embossing powder looked blotchy and clumpy. I know the attached image is messy, but this was another related issue. I felt like I couldn't shake off the excess or the powder on the letters would just come off, so the whole project is very sloppy. Maybe if I use it a little longer it will hopefully get better, or maybe I need to try a different color or non-metallic embossing powder.
