Good value for the money, but somewhat fragile

This is the second time I'm buying these bags. I do like them--they go into my small bathroom trashcan well; they are not scented, but they do contain odor really well, which is rare to find. To give you a little background, I have two preteen boys that create smells unheard of in the history of man, and the odors of things that get thrown away are quite neatly contained by these bags. We have also used them in a pinch when we've cleaned the litter box, and you can't smell a single doo-doo once the bag is tied. The only problem that I have with them is that they don't have any kind of stretch to them. They are also very thin, which isn't necessarily an issue, if the bag isn't over-stuffed. I 8 gallon trashcans around the house (they are just shy of 10" across, 15" wide, and 16" corner to opposite corner), and if I'm not careful when putting them in the cans, the bags will start to separate (see picture). I would not recommend a trashcan with larger dimensions than what I have. You have to be careful not to overfill the bags--due to the lack of stretch and how thin they are, I have had items poke through the sides when emptying the trashcan, which can prove to be disastrous. My absolute favorite thing about these bags is that they DO. NOT. LEAK. Ever. This box has 150 bags, I'm down to my last roll, and I have never once had a problem with anything leaking through the bag--which, to me, quite frankly, is amazing. Children throw away things that are half-full, dropping wet, slimy, and whatever else, and these bags have never oozed or anything. To me, that's worth having to be a little more careful when putting it into my trashcans.

Pros
  • These trashbags are sturdy enough. Perfect for what I need. I think they're a good value.
Cons
  • Overpackaging
