I had problems with the fan on my 2004 Liberty for about 2 days. At first the air conditioning did not cool when idling, then after a short run the expansion tank began to bubble, coolant sprayed out. In addition, the temperature sensor almost ran into a red line, which has never happened before. After a small self-selection process, I reluctantly and with some reservations ordered this fan on Friday around noon for delivery on Saturday (for a high shipping fee). I wasn't entirely sure if the fan was the problem, but at this price point it was worth a try. To my pleasant surprise, I received it on a Saturday afternoon and drove my Liberty in less than 15 minutes. The bonus is I still paid $50-$75 less than the cheapest price I found at local brick and mortar stores, even with Saturday delivery. So far the fan runs like a champ, the air conditioning is freezing and the temp gauge never crosses halfway. The old fan had some delay before the fan kicked on when the A/C was turned on, but not this one. The fan turns on immediately after turning on the air conditioner. When the temp gauge creeps past the halfway point, that fan turns on, while the original fan took a little coaxing (particularly by the Fonz method), which was one of the clues that it might have been the fan and not what - either relays or connections. FYI, check what type of connector (3-pin or 2-pin) the original fan has. There is one other fan that is listed as compatible with the Liberty but has a two-pin connector. I almost ordered it because it was a bit cheaper. This fan has three prongs (shown in pictures) that match the original fan. Like previous reviewers, I cannot guarantee the durability of this part, since I have only had it since 06/08/13, but so far it has been so good. He's stuck in Atlanta traffic during the mid-summer rush hour, so that's a little reassuring. And for the record, I am very grateful for the Saturday delivery option and would always use it again if the situation called for it. I'm usually quite stingy when it comes to extra shipping costs but with the cost of hiring a car for the next week Saturday delivery turned out to be quite a bargain. It sounded like a very faint moan at first, finally coming out less than two weeks after the fan heard the moan. With a very loud roar, it stopped spinning. It's good that it was 15 degrees frost in the 1920s, otherwise the engine would have overheated. I ordered another one hoping it will last longer.
