Exactly what I expected! I knew it wouldn't have magnets and was a little concerned about that. However, a little washi tape worked great! The quality of this item is very high. Cover with a grid - thick acrylic. The hinges are strong. The base is very light plastic with no flex in the middle so you can press hard and the image won't be distorted. I've used this with clear stamps and rubber stamps. I was able to get a clean, sharp image every time. The foam insert was not needed. If the ink wasn't enough or didn't spread well (usually my ink pad wasn't sufficiently inked), I would reink the image and stamp again. THAT WAS COOL! I used the platform to *stamp layered stamps. Super easy and fast! * Stamp big bold word. Signed, stamped, signed, stamped and voila! Perfect letters! * Mask the word. no problem! put a seal, smudged, erased the word and pressed. Fiction! *Cleaning was easy while the stamp was on the lid - I wiped it with a baby wipe and then removed the stamp. Next I will try to frame a 12" x 12" page as well as tissue paper. I'm sure it will be a piece of cake. This is amazing stuff!
