I had a much shorter version of this magnetic phone holder but my VW Passat didn't have enough dash real estate to use it. So I bought this one thinking it would fit better. It does. In fact, the choice is yours: install it on the windshield (hello, can you see well enough?) or on the dashboard. Thanks to the long gooseneck, it fits well in my dashboard. Both the adhesive sticker and the suction cup mount hold the device in place very well and the magnet is amazing! He wasn't compromised in that terrible Texas heat.
