1990 Mazda B2600i - 294,000 miles. The whole process, so be careful. Date "to" and "from". I had the date 9/89 (to) the tank "from" (4/90) is completely different.) The transmitter unit has been discontinued. Found new fuel drain valve and bushing ($25). All fuel lines on the top of the fuel tank and fuel lines coming from the metal and plastic valve replaced. You can use these clamps on ventilation lines. On the two fuel lines coming from the sender you will need to use screw clamps (I had a leak so I had to get a 1/4 drive with extensions to tighten the clamps - the tank may need to be lowered a bit for a tight fit - leave the top nuts on) I had to grind off the screw heads on the transmitter as they were completely rusted (be very careful not to damage anything as you can no longer buy them). I deleted the phone. s after I pulled out the transmitter unit and saw daylight (hole) in one of the pipes, past where the hose goes. Solution: I took a slightly larger piece of fuel line, routed it through the tube and used screw clamps on both ends to close the hole in the tube. I was then able to simply install the hose from the steel fuel line on the frame guide to the transfer unit (as originally done). not match. Solution: Drive in as many screws as you can (I have three), then take a sharp tool and mark where you need to extend. Then take out the device and use a dremmel to lengthen the holes (not much but you want them not to cross - a little tiring). Pump Installation: Note: The pump is smaller than the original pump but installs in the same way. After you pull out the transfer unit, installing the pump is easy. Pull out the old one, being careful not to damage the screws for the power and ground wires. The pump is supplied with butt connectors, not spade lugs. I used eyelets - the length of wire was just enough. I removed the hard plastic from the grommets with a heat gun and then used heat shrink tubing like the originals. The pump came with a bottom bushing that fitted into the pickup just like the original. You will need to put the strainer on before installing the pump - use the small head to press down on the metal ring (same as the original - use as a reference). Some parts (if I could find them) like the fuel bleed valve, grommet and filler housing took about a month to receive - FYI. Replace the fuel filter per the fuel pump installation recommendations. Good luck and take your time.
