I use a third backup remote (yes the original and two backup remotes are already out of service) and I can honestly say it's okay if you don't have a Great Dane. I think they stuff the innards with dog treats, meat, cheese or whatever. She doesn't nibble on anything else around the house, but for some reason she really loves this remote and the original firestick remotes. For a $20 remote, programming with IR learning is a little tedious, but it's no big deal. I only wish they would make it a little more reliable to deal with a simple Great Dane trying to get to the treat inside.
