When I first opened the box, I noticed that the tape sealing the drive looked like it had been removed previously. I'm not sure if I received the returned disk. Other than that, this is my experience with the drive. When I transferred my information from my current drive to this new drive, the drive initially transferred at about 160Mbps, but after about 2 hours the drive slowed down to a few Kbps. Eventually the drive completed the transfer (I let it run overnight), I could see my files but I needed to use the computer so I turned it off and later came back to find the drive was not recognized as a drive letter . I checked the disk management tool and found that the disk is taken into account in raw format. I reconfigured the drive but after reformatting the drive it said it was only 500GB. Now I'm about to return the record. I believe the disc may have been returned and accidentally shipped as new because the previous buyer resealed the disc to keep it looking new. Anyway, I just wanted people to know so they can check their drive before they lose their information.
