I made this purchase because I needed the stitch to be very close to the cord that I was sewing onto the pillowcase. The standard zipper foot that came with my Singer Quantum 9960 was wider than I needed for this project. I was very pleased with this zipper foot that easily snaps onto the shin. Before sewing, I changed the position of the needle from center to left so the needle goes over the left side of the zipper foot. This zipper foot allowed me to get very close to the cord when sewing a corded pillowcase. I'm glad I bought it.
