We have a beautiful and very expensive front door! Unfortunately the glass is clean. Although a bit wavy for privacy. But if you get closer you can clearly see what is in our house. Not cool! I actually bought a matte spray can but was hesitant because of the very nice door we have. Enter this article. I read the reviews and asked questions and felt I should at least try. The important things first. It takes time, effort and some skill to cut and paste this movie! I decided not to try to trim the door as it seems impossible. Especially if you need to trim as much as I need. So I had to put it on the floor and carefully measure and then cut it off. Cutting straight is not easy! Once I had it trimmed as best I could, I prepared my jar, which was easy. Removing the plastic wrap from the static film is also PITA! You don't want to drop it on the floor and instantly get dirt and dust on it! So I asked my son to help him hold it. Then I sprinkled the glass liberally with just water. As I said, the film sticks quickly. I used a scraper about 8 inches long to gently scrape air and water from the film next to the glass. Then I had to use a razor blade to cut off the excess film for a better fit. After application I was impressed with the "look" and the privacy it offered. Overall I'd say if it lasts it's worth it.
