The pressure and shower head are great for showering my little pomeranian (8.5lbs) who is my medical service dog, yet powerful enough to wash my hair with ease. The optional compression adjuster is more like an on/off button, I think it helps not to lose any of the rubber washers. This is a clear advantage if I don't want to use a garden hose nozzle instead of additional spray options (with sanitary adapter - cheap). The supplied spray head is slightly larger compared to garden sprayers, but works great with the suction cup on the car window. I don't recall the retainer failing permanently, but I think the desert heat was to blame. Unfortunately the suction cup holder does not work on the plastic part on the inside of the tailgate of my van. There are anywhere from a few to multiple shower heads at van stores that should conserve water but no pressure loss with the added bonus of different flow/spray modes/water types. They appeared to be a regular size so they may not need an adapter to use with this camping shower. The battery runs and charges quickly, but the pump/battery compartment is too large to fit in most water tanks. It fits in a 4 gallon hex jar from Walmart.
