Soft but not padded.
This rug is soft and fluffy but has no padding. The material is very soft though. I have not washed it yet so I cannot rate that. I do love the color and the way it looks so I do hope it holds up in the wash.update.it held up very well in the wash. I washed it in delicate cycle and air fluff setting in my dryer. It looks like new.
