I was hoping to use this meter to measure parasitic airflow in car batteries using only clamps. Previous reviews implied it could handle a few mA, but that's nonsense. The specifications for this mode (DC contactless measurement) are +/-3% +5 counts. Since the minimum range is 6 amps, this means the accuracy is +/- 180mA, +5 counts. This isn't enough to see how stray current draws a car battery (and let's not get into frequency response and intermittent current leakage). In fairness it is difficult to measure small DC currents from the magnetic field they generate (how non-contact/clamp measurements work). Stray magnetic fields suppress the weak signal from the Hall sensor. Simply moving the meter a few feet will change the background. But if you want to measure from a few to tens of amperes, this meter comes in very handy. However, the DC voltage measurement tracked the cost of my Fluke DVM closely from 0 to 30 volts, which is impressive for an inexpensive meter. I haven't tested the uA-DC range (which is done with probes and not clamps) or other modes.
