I paid my local dealer to install this webcam by placing the rear webcam cable under the headliner. I left the USB cable unplugged and hung it down so the webcam wouldn't turn on until I turn it on. As with most modern electronic devices, most of the problems encountered while using the device are related to the software. I ended up buying an iPad to communicate with the dash cam, but it's still easier to remove the micro SD card and view the content on my desktop PC. The only real issue is that the adhesive pads that come with the dashcam don't stick very well, but the suction cup for the main unit works like a champ!
