My company broadcasts live sports and special events, uses multiple cameras with graphics, etc. I needed something portable that would allow me to preview these elements as well as audio, both for me as a filmmaker and for the broadcast. This monitor fits well, is portable, easy to power and has good enough image quality to get the job done. BUT - it died after only a few months of use. He probably only worked 4 or 5 jobs. It refuses to recognize mini-HDMI inputs, and in fact I've tried multiple cables on multiple input devices. It turns off and you my friend are dead in the water. I contacted a vendor who offered to test some cables and input devices, and when I told them about it, they practically stopped responding to my messages. The unit should be insured for a year but good luck they comply. I take good care of my gear as it is my source of income. If you only give it to your kids to watch videos, you may have a better experience. Much luck! UPDATE: They finally got back in touch and sent a replacement unit - I upgraded it to 3 stars.
