I had a project of building three large trophy boxes that required 18 sheets of decorative chemetal aluminum. I stacked 4x8 sheets and cut them with standard straight fluted carbide cutters and it was slow and the aluminum built up around the cutters. I knew that when we get to the finished part, when we need to cut the metal on metal edges, regular bits won't work. I bought Amana 1/2" and 1/4" spiralizers and the job went perfectly. Although aluminum is much more difficult to work with than standard laminate, these fasteners make it as light as possible. Without them I would not have tackled another similar project.
