Review on 📶 High-definition Wireless Video Streaming: Nyrius Aries Pro HDMI Transmitter and Receiver (NPCS600) by Jeremy Carpenter

I've bought half a dozen Nyrius units, a few Pro models and four Prime models. If you can't decide what to buy, do yourself a favor and buy the Prime model. Pro blocks are not stable at all. They run a lot hotter and actually have less power reserve after a few hours of use than the Prime model. They seem to overheat and become unstable. There is also a lot of digital noise in the signal with Pro models. Once the device warms up, the video sync becomes extremely unstable, especially when the device is running through a receiver or media player like Roku. I have to turn devices on and off very often and there is no way to lock the resolution mode so when using it with a 720p display there is a long lag as the receiver wants to stay in 1080 mode for too long. I have thoroughly checked for interference. These devices have been taken to the mountains where there is NO interference on the 5.155.85 GHz frequency on which these devices operate. No microwaves, phones, cell phones around, Wi-Fi, etc. Again, the Prime model far outperformed the Pro model when faced with obstacles like walls. It's worth noting that the Prime model actually has a wider frequency range: 4.95.9 GHz. It's important to note that these devices work best with a real computer. The operation of multimedia devices, receivers, DVD players etc. is not stable with the transmitter. Note for technicians: The receiver requires a 2A @ 5V power supply (included) and the transmitter requires a 1A @ 5V power supply (not included). The devices support the audio formats PCM, DTS and DD5.1. The devices support the following video formats: TV: 1080p, 1080i,720p, 576p, 480p PC: 1920x1080, 1280x1024, 1024x768, 800x600, 640x480.
