Review on ๐Ÿ‘ถ Graco Quick Connect Portable Bassinet Playard, Alex - Pack 'n Play by Ryan Hawkins

The instructions could be clearer - read my comments

The device seems to be well made. (It's also heavy - I could barely lift the box with all the attachments.) One star deducted for the instructions. On the home page, the parts are identified by letters of the alphabet (untitled). Unfortunately, in the body of the statement, only the name of the part is used, with no letters. I started with the "normal" assembly, which is the first thing to do to get the device up and running. You will then learn how to attach the mattress to the bottom of the unit. It takes a lot of time (on your back etc.) to fish it out of the loop and under the mattress where you can't see it, find it and fasten it with 6 straps that are under the mattress. 2 are velcro and stick to itself permanently. The other 4 latched by their feet, but it took both hands to engage the latch. HOORAY! Seems to be a very safe design but time consuming and had to be on the ground to do it. On the next page - the installation of the cradle. THE FIRST INSTRUCTION WAS TO REMOVE THE MATTRESS. (why couldn't the instructions say "go to page 17 if using a cradle") The next instruction was to add "four parlor brackets" to the corners. I have searched for brackets similar to the installation picture. Finally my daughter called. The anchors are built into the mesh assembly, which acts like a sling to hold the mattress higher for the cradle. (You can add "mesh assembly" to the instructions to indicate where the fasteners are.) Easy to assemble if you know how (haven't picked up the bouncers yet but changing the table was easy). The changing table is also easy to put on and take off. (Before the baby sleeps in the cradle, the bouncer and changing table must be removed.)

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • I don't remember
