this item is amazing. The broken English instructions and the box are poor and suggest that it is a cheap Chinese product. Maybe, but honestly how hard is it to make a solid plastic box with a heating element underneath? The heater gets so hot that I once lightly toasted bread on it. If I had left it longer it probably could have been fully fried. The food comes out hot, but not so hot that you can't eat it. Imagine food straight out of the oven and it's sat for a few minutes, it's that hot. Almost to the point where you can't eat because it's too hot, but you can anyway. I leave food in it longer than the recommended time and that's how hot it is. The metal bowl inside is very easy to clean. Nothing sticks, everything just rolls. I put in oatmeal and peanut butter and just poured water. The bowl is also very big. It's about the size of a kid's lunch box, but slightly longer on one side and shorter on the other. But imagine filling your kid's metal lunch box with macaroni and cheese, fill it completely. You would have a lot of food, right? That's how much it can hold, so you basically have room for 2 or 3 full meals to reheat. In fact, you can buy some of these and use them as a buffet at your next party. The lid is difficult to put on, but that's a good sign. I am very sure that it will not come loose in transit. It has never given me any problems or leaked. When the lid is closed, it's very tight. I would take it even if I don't use it for work because imagine having to take something you've cooked to a friend's house and warm it up in the car. Big enough to hold a ton of food, it's basically a small pot. And thanks to the sturdy lid, nothing is spilled.
