We painted the interior a few years ago and as usual the paint is left. Three days ago I got a can of living room paint to touch up a few dents. The lid was RELIABLE and rusted. It took me almost 5 minutes to open the can, then another 3 or 4 to remove the bits of rust from the paint surface. Never again! These banks are perfect. The most obvious benefit is that they don't rust. Aside from that, the other features are just as attractive. If the inevitable stream runs down the side of the can or fills a groove at the top of the can, just let it dry and it pops off instantly. They seal well. Slight pressure on the quarter dots on the lid seats the lid into the groove with an audible click. If you want to open it again, a spatula or screwdriver is enough. A flipper for the lid is not required.
