I had ordered an Intel NUC11i3 for two months (to replace my outdated NUC6i3) and it kept getting delayed so I looked for another option just because this one GMK NucBox2 was released (with an apparent hijacking of the Intel NUC brand). It's a slightly older generation processor, but i5 instead of i3, and the performance figures were pretty close (slower single-core, but faster multi-core). Plus, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage preinstalled, it was about $100 cheaper than buying the cheapest NUC11 kit and adding the memory and storage yourself. After a quick boot of the included Windows OS to make sure it's working works, I wiped the drive and installed Ubuntu Linux 21.04 with no problems. There were virtually no instructions in the box, so I had to experiment to enter the BIOS menu (via the "ESC" key during boot) and adjust the boot device order. The box runs REALLY fast and has been 100% silent so far, although I haven't done anything too CPU intensive for too long to cause extra cooling. Overall I'm very happy with it and may even buy a second one.
