I saw a demonstration of this product at a small outdoor market in Florida, but the price was more than I was willing to pay. When I found it at Revain for a better price I had to buy it. I've only used it for garlic so far, but it does a great job of chopping it up. I can see how it would work with spices like nutmeg or hard cheese. It comes with a small brush that you can use to scrape the garlic off the plate (those little combs stick to the food) and then clean it up. I am frustrated that some hair falls out every time I use the brush. Less and less, but still. To clean a plate, apply some soap and water to it and swish it around with a brush for a quick clean.
