I should have done it sooner.

You just need a hex key. If your screws are rusted and tough, spray some wd40 or grease. Give a few minutes for soak. Then it should come off to replace. It took about 30 minutes because I’m a total noob but saved me money from doing a tune up of my bike at a shop

Pros

Worked great on my son's bike, he is rough on it so I am hoping they last till he needs a larger one.
