I needed some shelves, and these popped up on my available list. The price was good, seeing that you actually get 5 shelves and hardware. That suited my needs for the two different projects that I had in mind. Length and depth wise they were a good size that would hold bigger diameter jars/objects, or I could double row the smaller things I wanted to store on a shelf.The photos on the order page are a little deceiving, however, as some of the pictures make these look thicker than they really are. Actually, no measurement is even mentioned about their thickness, which I measure to be about 5/16 inch thick. Also, you have to be careful when you screw the brackets onto the planks, not only becasue they are so thin, but since they are not really wood the hole you bore can be larger than the screw thread. I ended up drilling pilot holes, and dripped some glue down in the holes in hopes to hold the screw better. The thicker curve side of the bracket barely allows contact with the bottom of the shelf becasue it is hollow and not flush with the bottom. I think the glue I dripped into the holes will help. Another thing about the angle of the brackets, the back or the shelf does not sit flush against the wall on the hack side if you follow the ready premade screw position guides on the bottom of the shelf. If you want the back of the shelf to butt up to the wall you will need to make your pilot holes a little further back, ignoring the supplied suggestion.This all said, these will do me fine for the purpose of getting more clutter off of my kitchen counter. If I am careful and don't put too much weight on them they should be fine.
