Review on SunPower® Flexible Monocrystalline Efficiency Solar by Stephen Chowdary

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Horrible packaging for solar and wind energy

This thing came in the most horrible packaging. Interestingly, Revain products are usually repackaged. Obviously this isn't from the Revain camp. Think of a sheath made out of the thinnest cardboard known to man. The sides of the bowl weren't even closed. The sides were deliberately left open with the panel exposed. The panel was somewhat damaged, having three significant creases along the entire length of the panel. The panel actually worked as advertised. It's functional and seems well made, but it's very light and that makes it flimsy, but they call it flexible. It has flexibility but you can't roll or fold it so not sure what the value of the flexibility would be. It's a slight twist, not enough to give it any intrinsic value, but I'm new so maybe I just don't know. It doesn't have a kickstand, which is very annoying. It's so light that the slightest breeze will blow it away. It has holes for grommets, so it's best to mount it on a flat surface, which is probably what it was designed for. For the price, it seems like a reasonable deal when you understand what you're getting.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Vulgarity
