I work as a security guard and on duty I walk A LOT (8-10 miles a day). I was struggling to find a comfortable pair of shoes on a budget. I used my regular crocodiles, hoping my boss wouldn't notice that crocodiles were frowned upon. But hey, I'll do what I have to do to get through my shift. In any case, what I've noticed is that the standard bistro crocs are comfortable, but aren't meant for long walks, as there's a lot of "play" and movement between your foot and the inside of the shoe. I had "hot spots" (prelude to blowing). I had a pair of these Crocs in 2012 and used them as walking shoes when I worked out on the treadmill. The rear strap allowed me to adjust the fit and tighten the shoe just enough to reduce foot movement in the shoe. The problem is solved. Plus, the shoe's leather upper makes it easy enough to fit with my standard security uniform. All in all, I'm as happy as can be. My feet are comfortable and the light weight of the shoe allows me to walk faster than my old work boots. However, I'm not sure how long they will last. I've had them for about 2 weeks and I walk as much as I do, they're already showing signs of tread wear. I'm considering buying a set if it's an "off-road" version with an adjustable strap, as the thicker sole promises a little more durability. have durability issues
