Excellent product in Accessories & Consumables

I've used about 200 of these DVDs with a failure rate of only about 2%. I used to order Sony DVDs to print because they had good reviews from critics and because I've had good experiences with Sony products myself. With the Sony DVD, I had about 25% bounce rates. I print labels on my DVDs with the Epson Artisan 835 and Artisan 50 printers (both great machines, the 835 is a bit more comfortable when printing multiple identical DVDs or CDs) and get great results. Verbatim's 97016 printable DVDs excel in every way. Interestingly, the old 5.25 inch floppy disks sold under the Verbatim brand in the late 70's and early 80's were also excellent products. VERY bad packaging, CONSTANTLY from the people who send them. I use quite a few CDs and DVDs of various types and the box fill is always incredibly poor. When ordering multiple disc types in one order, more than 1/3 of the discs became unusable. I suggest ordering one pack per order. Because they only have the sides of the box to bang against, they take less damage, although the padding they use does little to stop the included package bouncing around. My guess is that the two DVDs that failed in the last package were the result of damage in transit, even though they were ordered individually. Since I wrote above, I've started using the same DVDs that come on spindles, packaged in 50s. Spindle. I've used many hundreds of them and only had one case of cargo damage. They're still poorly packaged, but the spindle packaging protects them. Apart from this batch I have never received a defective DVD. I highly recommend the spindle versions. Updated 07/20/14. Since the 100 disc pack is cheaper and I'm a key Revain contributor, I've started ordering discs that size individually again. I have found that if the drives are shipped individually they would usually arrive undamaged - when two or more of them are together they keep bumping into each other causing damage to the drives at the top and bottom of the package. To my great surprise, MY LAST ORDER ARRIVES IN GOOD PACKAGING: the disc package was completely wrapped in bubble wrap and the space in the box was completely filled with blister wrap. I'm so excited that next time I order I'll order two or three at a time.

  • Best in its niche
