Review on ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ Spectra ST183 Fuel Tank Strap by David Roberts

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect fit for my 2000 Chevy Z71

Used them on my 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 4X4. They are perfect in size and shape. They don't have the plastic coating like the stock ones. Otherwise, it makes a well-made and robust impression. I got the job done in less than an hour. This included work preparation and subsequent cleaning. I strongly recommend you to buy Dorman 55157 HELP! 'Fuel Tank Strap Attachment', which can also be found at Revain. The bolt in this kit is much longer, making it a lot easier to attach the tank. Belt and tighten. Besides, who needs old rusty bolts and nuts? The longer bolt makes the difference made the job a lot easier and not a real pain trying to get the old one to turn into the threads Use a PB blaster or similar product on the screw to break out due to rust if necessary Prepare Prepare a 15mm head for the tank strap and camber bolts. Also, YOU NEED a floor jack or bottle jack to get the tank in place, otherwise the straps will seem too short (they are exactly the same size as the Standard straps if you compare them with each other) Other) Remember to put a board under the plastic tank when you lift it to avoid deformation and possible cracking of the plastic tank oath Tank in the future for a new fuel pump or sensor or something similar. Using the right tools and common sense goes a long way in making this job easier.
