I purchased this springform pan to make a British-style savory pie for Thanksgiving, and I was very happy with the result. The base is designed to catch any drips or leaks, which it did very well, and the top unlocked easily. There was a bit of a problem lifting it off because I made the crust as if it was in a pie pan, which you can see in the photos - my bad, due to inexperience! I didn’t want to trim off the crust so it lifted off a bit when removing the pan, but no real harm done. FYI, the pie is untouched because it had to stay in the oven longer than expected to reheat, so we ate the smaller pie (in the bread pan in the oven photo) first. They were a big hit, and my new Thanksgiving tradition!
