We love this lamp. Our favorite color is white because it looks like a planet, and kids love the hide option, as shown in the bedtime video. They used this for a sleepover at Grandma's and it worked perfectly! We shipped it fully charged and it ran unplugged all night. You can use this globe without the remote using the button on the bottom, but the remote really makes it stand out - it would be just mediocre without it. . There are many different color options (see remote control picture) and they allow you to fine tune the amount of light as well as favorite colors - which is important in our home 🤪. The only issue I've noticed is that it's hard to tell it's charging - which hasn't turned out to be a problem as it clearly is a problem? The instructions say it should turn blue at the bottom when charging, but in my experience it just turns on when charging. This may be because I am charging from a wall charger and not a computer. It still works, so it doesn't affect the use of the product. And just FYI - no outlet. Just one cable to connect to a computer or wall charger.
