Use these for cable management in my office and they work great. The side of the wall protrudes quite a bit into the wall, so it takes you over half the width of a standard 2x4 wall to attach it. In my case I had to trim the insides a bit to keep them from hitting other objects in the wall, but it didn't make much of a difference and isn't visible anyway. They are more durable than I thought and look very nice.
